Superhero

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant"
(Matthew 25:21 or 23)

Ever watched a movie, read a book or story, where there is an incredible individual, who dominates all the evil throughout the story, saves people's lives, and is loved by all the people on the good side? Maybe toward the end of the story, it appears that evil is winning, and all the good guys are about to lose the battle, but then just in the nick of time, that person saves the day.

That type of individual, is typically called and thought of as a "Superhero."

I got an idea.
Let's picture a new kind of Superhero.
Let's be God's Superheroes.
Let's be people that say: "I'm going to be a Superhero, through Christ who strengthens me."
And what I mean by "Superhero," isn't necessarily someone who is loved by all, whom everyone notices, and who is considered "cool" by most people.
It's more like an elite group of warriors, who will do anything and everything to edify and glorify the Almighty God.
It's actually one who is faithful to all of the responsibilities that God has given him or her.

God's Superhero, is more like Faithfulman or Faithfulwoman.

I love to evangelize, and I believe that it is important and essential to being a follower of Christ.
And I do believe I emphasize that quite a bit on this blog.
But I don't want to overlook the things that seem small, that no one but God sees.

Because God has given me things that He expects me to be faithful in.
And same with you.

"And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey."
Matthew 24:15

Notice "According to his several ability."

Every single follower of Christ has tasks and responsibilities that God has specifically given to them.

Whether it be personal time with the Lord every day,
Or time with the family,
Or chores, and family projects,
Or work and business,
Or education, and schooling.
Or serving your neighbor.
Or going that extra mile,
By helping others with their responsibilities.

Some questions that God is challenging me with...

What does your room look like? And your desk? And your closet? And your car? And your kitchen?
(On a daily basis)

Are you joyful for whatever state God has put you in? (Philippians 4:4)

Are you content with what you have, in whatever state? (Hebrews 13:5, Philippians 4:11)

So instead of trying to be Superman, or Superwoman
I challenge and encourage you to be God's Superhero.
For the glory and praise of God.

Be like Jesus. Not Superman.

Let's find our responsibilities that God has given to us,
and through prayer, and God's strength, learn to be faithful.
God bless you all this week!
