Daily

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psalm 1:1-2

Have you ever wondered, As a Christian, what am I actually SUPPOSED to do every day?

Learning "How to Live a Day Well", or "How To Achieve Daily Success", or the " Daily Activities Expected from a Christian", is one of the most amazing topics I've ever studied in my Christian life.

"so..." you may say, "How do you live a day well?"
Well first we need to define: As a Christian, WHAT does it mean to "Live a Day Well"?

Define: Live Well
"To love God and love others."

As a Christian, that sums up EVERYTHING we're to do. If we JUST loved God, and loved others, that would glorify God. (That also includes many things, which can be found in God's Word.)

Why a "Day"?
Because when you learn to do what God wants you to do TODAY,
Don't you think that you can do it again TOMORROW?

Then you can live a WEEK well.
Then a MONTH, and then a YEAR.
And eventually, you'll know how to live your LIFE well, for the glory of God.

Before We Talk About the Action, What's the Result?
Rather than anger, bitterness, doubt, fear, envy, greed, guilt, hate, lust. (Resource: https://embassyinstitute.org/stresses)
You have things like, courage, diligence, wisdom, love, joy peace, patience, gentleness, goodness faith, meekness and temperance! (Resource: https://embassyinstitute.org/qualities)

It's called, WALKING in the SPIRIT.

TIP
When learning to Walk in the Spirit DAILY, then, as weird as it sounds...
Don't focus on how you're going to make TOMORROW better.
Focus 100% of your efforts on making TODAY the best day of your life.
So that TOMORROW, you can duplicate the SAME mentality of today.
Matthew 6:34

Here are Some of the "Daily Activities Expected of a Christian" found in Scripture
-Paul said "I die daily" (1 Cor 15:31)
-Meditate on God's Law (Can be interpreted "Word"), day and night. (Psalm 1:1)
-Praise God "Bless thee", EVERY day. (Psalm 145:2)
-Pray, without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17)
-Deny yourself (Luke 9:23)[I BELIEVE it's referring to a DAILY activity, but I'm not sure if it is a ONE TIME activity. What do you think? Check it out. Or do you know how you find out by studying the Greek?]
-Take up your cross (Luke 9:23)

Challenge:

I encourage you to search through the scriptures and find the things that we're to do DAILY.
What are some other things that we ought to do DAILY?

I imagine "Walking in the Spirit" to be like this:
Picture yourself being in a war, and having body armor, (The armor of God! Eph 6:10-20)
And when arrows fly through the air straight for you, they simply bounce off, and fall to the ground, leaving you unharmed.
In other words, when the the arrows of temptation attack, you are ready, and because you have the full armor of God, you have victory.

Walking in the Spirit is like wearing Spiritual body armor.

When you're tempted to fear, God gives you courage.
When you're tempted to hate, God gives you love.
When you're tempted to doubt, God gives you faith.
When you're tempted to despair, God gives you hope.
When you're tempted to be anxious, God gives you peace.

It's so wonderful.

And let's praise God for this.

Application:
Start "working" on what God wants you to do daily, TODAY.

God bless you all this week,
Oh, and just a side note... NEXT week is actually my 52nd "Real" post.
So it will be my Conclusion of ABC (Ambassador in Bonds for Christ).

Your brother in Christ,
Landon
