To Weep

"Jesus wept."
-John 11:35 (KJV)

I'm so grateful that Jesus wept.
Why?
If the Lord and Savior and Creator of the universe wept,
then that means it's definitely permissible for us to weep.

This word is only used once in the whole Bible.
It means essentially, to shed tears silently.

dakrýō (from 1144 /dákry, "tear-drop") – properly, to shed quiet (actual) tears; to weep silently (with tears).

Tears of suffering, tribulation, and persecution for the Lord are usually a sign of growth.

According to Dr. Dwight Fredrickson, a gentleman named Warren Wiersbe listened to a sermon from a brand new, young preacher. Mr. Wiersbe believed it was all good information, but it lacked something. He said this:
"After he has suffered awhile, he will have a message worth listening to."

You can usually tell when someone has actually DONE what they're TEACHING you.
You can sort of "smell the smoke of battle" if you will.
You can't teach something with any degree of authority if you haven't done it or you're not willing to do it yourself.
The Bible explains the process of how TRIBULATIONS cause growth in your BOLDNESS...

Romans 5:3-5
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that
tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience
and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Lesson:

Be encouraged when you weep. :'-)
And "enjoy it" while it lasts... because there won't be any in heaven. ;-) (Revelation 21:4)

God bless you all,
Your fellow ambassador for Christ,
Landon

Recommendation:
Read the Bible EVERY DAY, even when you don't feel like it.
Don't read the Bible, JUST to say you've read a certain quantity of either time or words

But READ the Words with the intention to IMMEDIATELY implement what it says.
